as we came, Went back down towards the pedestrian crossing that is there. When we have arrived approximately at the pedestrian crossing, the first police car arrived. I can say that, we saw immediately that there was a taxi parked and someone was talking to this taxi, and that is why we understood that they alerted the ambulance and police via the taxi.

We did not take any, did not make any attempts to call an ambulance, because I understood that the taxi fixed it right away. When we then get down to, well approximately opposite where it all happened, the first police car came from Kungsgatan and drove on the other side of the road and then drove on the sidewalk and stopped right in front of this.

Pretty soon afterwards, a picket car also comes from the same direction. I think. When the police have come out, there have also been a number of people gathered, maybe ten or fifteen people standing nearby or around, and there is also an ambulance without sirens driving and several people running out into the street and waving to this ambulance.

The ambulance stops and someone runs out with a stretcher. When we see this, we think we have seen everything there is to see, and we had absolutely nothing else to do there, and we disappear from there. We continue into town. Later, at about twenty past one, we find out from the staff at a restaurant we are sitting in that they say on the radio that Olof Palme has been murdered.

We then immediately connect this with what we have seen two hours earlier, since we had seen Olof Palme in the same area and someone who had been shot, so we assumed it was Olof Palme. Since I live in roughly the same area where it happened, I take that road past Sveavägen on my way to Vallingatan where I live, and pass this intersection.... well, the area that is...

F: You pass the crime scene?

E: I pass the crime scene and see a big pool of blood there and ask one of the police officers if they know anything about the perpetrator, if they have found any clues or anything. I mention that I saw him run in and that's why they were interested in taking my testimony.
