Olof Palme, The Palme Assassination
Page 317
J = no, it was quite long
F1= It was quite long
J = Yes
F 1 = Does Palme still stand up when you see him or has he
J = no, he collapses more and more, and then people scream and so on, when I arrive, Lisbeth was there who ran out into the street and screamed. but nothing helps her
F 1 = What you see is the man holding a firearm tightly pressed to his body against Palme, is he standing behind or in front of Palme?
J = He is standing to the side
F 1 = He is standing to the side and what does he do then? Do you understand that? the man
J = He fires the last shot then he runs in, right?
F1 = Does he stop anywhere on the way into Tunnelgatan?
J = Yes, he stops when I get there and park my car there, then he stops and then he looks and then he fires again and runs on
J = Yes
F1 = is it on Sveavägen or on Tunnelgatan that he stops?
J = On Tunnelgatan, it's in this alley if you say
F 1 = Do you see any more people on Tunnelgatan than this man who shot?
J = there were people around there but, people stood up and shouted around who were standing next to there, so there must have been quite a lot of people nearby, then I just focused on not letting the cars come from up there then I went straight ahead and then it was a little ahead and tried to help, the guy who was riding with him went up and did the mouth to mouth method on him
F1= Do you have any idea what this man who shot looked like in the face, what kind of features he had?
J = No but I would probably recognize him if I saw him if I saw him
F 1 = you would
I have a hard time with this with J =
F 1 = Do you have difficulty describing?
J = yes, I do
F1 = it could be very difficult
J = I don't have a good memory at all, just like you see an artist who can draw, I could never do something like that, but on the other hand if I were a person out there again I would probably be able to say that.
