Report taken at the interrogation of the fitter Jan Erik Andersson, born 470630-1639. Lives at Fjällvägen 6 186 00 Vallentuna, tel: 0762/72492. Employed in Vallentuna, tel employer: 0762/72125.

The interrogation was held at the crime department's violence cell on Tuesday, April 8, 1986, starting at 2:55 p.m. before District Attorney Lars Jonsson without access to an interrogation witness.

Jan Andersson is being questioned as a witness to the murder of Olof Palme on February 28, 1986.

Andersson says that on the evening in question he was traveling as a passenger in a Chevrolet, combi model, gray-black, driven by Leif Ljungkvist (witness). Ljungkvist lives next door to Andersson.
The interrogation is related to search report E 17-2.

Ljungkvist and Andersson intended to drive to the Pentecostal church on Valingatan where Ljungvist was to pick up his two children, two sons who had been north on a trip up in the mountains, after 11 p.m. Ljungvist drove his car on Drottninggatan south to Valingatan where he was at around 11:15 p.m.

It was then possible to determine that the bus with the children in question had not arrived yet, which is why he continued on Drottninggatan south to Adolf Fredriks Kyrkogata where he turned left and then drove on Adolf Fredriks Kyrkogata east to Svea-vägen. Sveavägen on the right, that is, Sveavägen south.

Ljungkvist is in the middle lane and he has driven about fifty meters in the direction of the Sveavägen/Tunnelgatan intersection when he hears a bang, a shot being fired.
The interrogation takes the form of a dialogue.
